Friday night action produced the best offensive game of the season as the Namuwongo Blazers defeated the UCU Canons 109-93 and the fans were left in awe.
The First quarter was tied 25 a piece but the Blazer created a 10-point separation heading into the second quarter. The Canons fought back in the third and cut the deficit to 7 but the Blazer had their way in the fourth quarter, finishing off the game in crunch time.
Joseph Chuma showed his marksmanship, finishing with 33 points while Jimmy Williams had 22 points and 10 assists on his season debut.
Lwabaga Ibanda had 24 points for the Canons while Kevin Kasobya finished with 19 points but he made a 3-point shot from the logo which sent many fans into a frenzy.
The JT lady Jaguars got the job done against the KCCA Leopards and it was Brenda Kayaga that led the team with her offense. She had a season-high 31 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists and 4 blocks while Sarah Ageno had 14 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 1 block double-double.
Captain Rebecca Susan Aanyu led the scoring for KCCA with 18 points while Perus Nyamwenge had 12 points.
